Gage Hulsey is a Los Angeles–based jazz guitarist and multi-instrumentalist known for his mastery of gypsy jazz and swing styles. Active professionally since 2008, he leads the gypsy jazz ensemble Les Bons Garçons and has performed with notable acts such as the John Jorgenson Quintet, Gonzalo Bergara Quartet, and Joscho Stephan.
His versatility extends to jump blues, rockabilly, and Western swing, collaborating with groups like The Jump Cutters and Phat Cat Swinger. Hulsey has also contributed to big band jazz with Sergio Vellatti and Alex Mendham & His Orchestra, and explores tiki and exotica genres with The Hilo Hi-Flyers. Beyond performance, he is dedicated to teaching and has instructed at events like Django in June. Outside of music, Hulsey breeds and sells carnivorous plants and aquatic life, reflecting his diverse interests and commitment to craftsmanship.
