Darcy Noonan is a San Francisco Bay Area–born fiddler and versatile violinist who began studying the Suzuki method at age five. Her skills were further refined in Galway City under the mentorship of acclaimed Irish fiddlers including Mick Conneely and Frankie Gavin. She has taught for many years at programs like FiddleKids (including its 2019 session) and more recently at Freight & Salvage, Golden Toad Camp, Lark in the Morning Camp, Lark Camp, and Fiddle Tunes.
An active performer, she’s appeared in collaborations and ensembles such as the Get Happy String Band and the Greek Rebetika-inspired Disciples of Markos, and in 2016 recorded an EP and toured alongside Lindsay Straw and Preston Howard
