Hailing from Cali, Colombia, and of Japanese descent, Edwin Itoh brings a rich cultural fusion to Waves of Harmony as the group’s guitarist and co-producer. His dual heritage and love for traditional and modern sounds, deeply influences his musical voice—combining the rhythmic passion of Latin America with the subtlety and precision of Japanese tradition.
A graduate of the University of Miami’s Studio Music and Jazz program and a seasoned multi-instrumentalist, Edwin draws on over 30 years of experience in performance, production, and teaching. His playing moves effortlessly between soulful acoustic textures and vibrant lead solos, always rooted in a love for global sound.
With a background that spans jazz, classical, rock, and folk traditions, Edwin helps shape the dynamic, borderless spirit at the heart of Waves of Harmony. In this project, Edwin collaborates with Guitar, Harmonium, and Charango.
