Richard Curran is a distinguished UK-based violinist, chamber musician, session performer, composer, arranger, and educator. After studying at the Birmingham Conservatoire and, as a Countess of Munster Scholar, at the Royal College of Music, he has held leadership roles with orchestras such as the Southern Sinfonia, London Orchestra da Camera, and Opera Brava, and has served as Principal Violin II with Dorset Opera and Neville Holt Opera.
Curran has performed with esteemed ensembles including the BBC Concert Orchestra, Britten Sinfonia, CBSO, Orchestra of the Swan, and the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. His versatility takes him beyond classical concert halls: he has recorded with high-profile artists like Gloria Estefan, Neil Sedaka, and Johnny Mathis, and works in legendary recording venues including Abbey Road, Air, Olympic, and Angel Studios.
