Uillean Pipes & Pennywhistle

Tom Delaney is a French-born, Ireland‑based uilleann piper, whistle player, singer, bouzouki player, and multi‑instrumentalist whose dynamic, rhythmic style has garnered attention worldwide. Having learned tin whistle from his Irish father at age twelve and begun playing uilleann pipes at thirteen, Tom was performing regularly across France by his mid‑teens.

His debut solo album, The Lark’s Call (2022), won critical praise for its inventive reinterpretation of 1970s‑style Irish folk, and he has collaborated with Caroline on Never Say Goodbye, Say Good Luck (2017), guested with artists like Kacey Musgraves, and appeared on TV and radio, including featuring on Bad Sisters.

Twice awarded the Traditional Arts Bursary by the Irish Arts Council (2021, 2023), Tom is recognized as a vital ambassador for the uilleann pipes and a vibrant force in both contemporary and traditional Irish music.
