Doug Lee

Douglas Lee is a performer, composer and sound artist in Los Angeles who plays musical glasses: wine glasses tuned with water and played by touch. He plays heavy metal, classical and pop on them, and leads The Douglas Lee Quintet, which arranges jazz standards for musical saw, saxophone and piano.

His debut album, Themes for Falling Down Stairs, uses koto, shamisen and a Baschet sound sculpture alongside electronics. He also builds experimental instruments with the Metabolic Studio Sonic Division.
