Engineer, Co-producer, Musician
Joel Reed Mankey, from Thousand Oaks and Los Angeles, is a composer, multi‑instrumentalist, recording/mixing engineer and luthier.
After earning his B.M. in Music Composition for Film & TV (CSUN ’07), he’s toured internationally (e.g., Bulgaria, Mexico) and worked at venues like the Hollywood Bowl, LA Coliseum, Staples Center, Ford Amphitheatre, and studios for TV.
He builds instruments, produces records, and performs traditional and experimental music—especially taiko and shinobue, which he has studied for over 15 years. In Waves of Harmony, he contributes with Bazouki, Bass, Flutes, and Vocals.
