Clarinet
Michael Mull is a Los Angeles–based saxophonist, clarinetist, composer, and arranger with a Master’s in Music from CalArts and undergraduate degrees from Cuesta College and CSU Northridge.
A versatile woodwind specialist, he has crafted a distinctive voice across instruments and styles, leading ensembles ranging from solo and chamber groups to big bands. In 2011, he founded the Michael Mull Octet to bring his richly textured compositions to life—melding cinematic orchestration, driving grooves, and fiery improvisation—which culminated in the 2014 release Source Code on Orenda Records.
