Leslie Abbott is deeply embedded in the local and family-music scene, where she performed bass in "The Abbott Family Band" with her husband Carl Abbott and their sons Luke and Kyle Abbott.
Growing up in a musical household—her father played banjo and guitar and introduced her to the ukulele—Leslie developed a lifelong engagement with music, teaching others through what the family calls the “Playing by Ear” method: focusing on listening, feeling, and immediate musical creativity rather than traditional notation.
